Enough's enough. FIFA must finally accept that the 21st century has arrived. Video evidence urgently needs to be introduced live at football matches in a similar way to Rugby Union, Cricket, Tennis and American Football.

It's simple - one challenge per match to each team, with the additional option that the referee can refer a decision to the 4th official if he is unsighted or unsure of any particular event. And if FIFA were to instigate a change to the rules in this way, they could also assign timekeeping duties to the 4th official, in a similar way to Rugby Union, so that everyone in the stadium and watching at home knows precisely how much time is left.

Ireland were robbed in Paris last night. Thierry Henry is a cheat. And this is about more than sport and winning and glory and money. This is about the hopes and dreams of an entire nation, who will now not be lifted by their team competing in the World Cup Finals.

Only a game?!

Cheating with the Eider

Cheating with the Eider

This is cheating. This is not a documentation of what really happened. I have combined two shots of the same group of a Common Eider female with her ducklings.
I have done this for two reasons. First, to fill some vacant space in a boring photo to make it slightly less boring.
Second, to make a point. In my opinion it is perfectly OK to do this, as long as the result isn't presented, explicitly or implicitly; as documentation of an actual event.
Any opinions on this?
